My name is Ann Kelly. I am a fully qualified Professional Counsellor / Psychotherapist and work in one-to-one, couple and family sessions with clients in the Loughrea, Athenry and surrounding areas – Galway City and County. I have worked for several years in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Having first obtained a Certificate in the Foundation Counselling Course, I continued my studies and qualified with a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Tivoli Institute, Dun Laoghaire. I am accredited with the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their Code of Ethics.
I also hold Diplomas in Grief and Bereavement Counselling and Social Studies and have undertaken courses and hold Certificates on Suicide Awareness and Prevention and The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Programme (MBSR). Earlier this year I obtained a Professional Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I attend regular supervision with an accredited Supervisor and follow a programme of Continuous Professional Development, which include workshops, training courses and reading extensively, to enable me to continue with and maintain high standards for my clients.
