Who I Am:
My name is Ann Kelly. I am a fully qualified Professional Counsellor/Therapist practicing in Galway city and county areas. I serve Athenry, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Craughwell, Kinvara, Gort, Claregalway, Tuam, Portumna and every town and village in between.

My role as a Counsellor is to facilitate clients to face challenges in their lives. I offer a safe, warm, comfortable space for people to talk about their feelings, emotions and anything that is bothering or concerning them.
When a person can talk about what is on their mind, they can work out how to deal with it. As the old saying goes, a problem shared is a problem halved, in other words, it is good to talk. We all have the power and capacity to change our lives for the better.
I work closely with my clients so they can develop the skills and tools to deal with what is happening in their lives.I work closely with my clients so they can develop the tools to deal with whatever comes their way.
Why go to a Counsellor/Therapist:
Everybody deserves the opportunity to live their best life. Nobody should feel judged or anxious about how they are feeling. Counselling allows people to explore their feelings and face their challenges. It can also help to tap into the inner power many of us don’t even know or realise we have.
Not every day can be great and, a lot of the time, we cannot control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to situations. My role as a Counsellor/Therapist is to enable people to take control of their own lives..
I have helped many people in my career and I hope to facilitate many more, to make the most of their lives, regardless of their personal situation when they come to see me. Getting to see the difference in people first-hand and the change they experience, having come to counselling, gives me great joy.
Seeing people take control of their lives and work towards being the happy, healthy people they always wanted to be, drives my sense of purpose. Make contact today on 083 1855958 or email caracounsellingloughrea@gmail.com and we can work together to achieve the happiness you deserve in life.
Help To Change and Grow:
You may have noticed that the logo for this website is a butterfly. The ethos behind my work is founded in a simple but powerful belief, although it may sound clichéd. Not only is change possible, but life can be beautiful when we learn to cope with our thoughts, feelings and emotions.
A butterfly is a shining example of progress and new starts. It goes through a makeover from caterpillar to butterfly through several stages of development. It is an example of what can happen with change and the amazing successes we can accomplish when we trust ourselves. We have an in-built mechanism to listen to our gut feeling (which is said to be our second brain), to trust it and go with our instincts, to deal with what is going on for us.
Like a butterfly, we can shed the layers we don’t need, to eventually live the life we would like. Change doesn’t happen overnight and can take time, just as a caterpillar takes time to become a beautiful butterfly.
